They look similar but I don't think anyone here has done a swap. Someone on this board asked saddlemen if they do a seat for our bikes and the answer was no. Shad and Bagster make seats for our bike.

I to have been wondering if a certain year would fit. I have watched YT videos of people changing thier seats and the mounts look the same. I figured maybe the size or shape is a little different.

I have a Shad seat on my GSR750 and it fits my GSXS. It is a superb seat and I have ridden over 300 miles in a day without any difficulty. Well worth the money.

That's good to hear I'm wanting something really comfortable especially for early spring the wife and I are discussing a bike ride from southern Louisiana to key west and I wanna make sure we are as comfortable as possible in also looking into the shad top box with backrest for her as well

I cant bring myself to pay the $400 + for the shad seat. And there is so many options for a gsxr, so here we go. I went to the local suzuki dealership and brought my seats off my 2015 gsxs and asked if anyone knew if my seat would fit on a gsxr. The bad news..... I do know the 2014 and up will NOT work. There was a guy in the parts dept. that had a 2014 gsxr750 so we walked out to it and the rear seat has different seat posts. The 2014 gsxr has a single seat post on the under side and mine has 2. We didn't bother to take the driver seat off as you have to pull 2 panels to get to the screws. So i didn't want to waste his time taking his bike apart etc.. He did say they havent changed to the seat from 14 to 17 so i took some photos of my seat next to the 2017 gsxr seat in the showroom. pictures below. The gsxr seat seems to be just a touch wider, but could be due to the fact mine was pinched down by 2 bolts. The GOOD news...... As talking with him he used to own a 2007 gsxr 600 before he bought his 2014 gsxr750. And he knows for certain that his rear seat was a 2 post and remebers it looking just like mine. I said you sure, he said yeah i used to take it off all the time as i would swap it with my solo cover. Unfortunately they did not have a 2006 or 07 bike their for either service or sale that we could compare. He seems pretty postive a 06/07 gsxr seat would work. Looking at some pictures on the old interweb, the way it mounts shape etc everything looks the same. i even found a site on ebay that had a aftermarket seat with measurements and the only difference was my seat is a 1/2'' wider at the front by the tank, and the foam mount for the battery is different as well. The ebay seat is 1'' wider in the rear. But the chinese may not measure correctly. To sum it up, I think i may purchase a 2006/07 seat from amazon as being a prime member it would be simple to return. This is my seat on top of a 2017 gsxr seat in the first 2 pics and side by side in the third.

The 11- Gixxer 750 stock seat is great. I wish we could get a list of all compatible parts on our bikes. I guarantee you our seat is sourced from another model. We already know the control levers and both sets of footpegs are.

Maybe I will add a thread on the main board for "interchangeable parts" That way it will help everyone in their search for "upgrades". I got one more dealer i am gonna try first, before i order. I am gonna ask if i can bring 'em a pizza for their troubles.
My biggest gripe is the seat and you can find gsxr seats everywhere. for a whole lot cheaper.

Yeah that'd be cool if we could find a seat for less than that even if it required a minor modification. I haven't done any long trips yet but after a couple hours my butt doesn't feel great.

Speak, get a pair of bicycle shorts. For $18 on amazon its worth it, to wear under your jeans. Cheaper than a seat, so far.
