Been for a ride out today (UK) finally. Passed the 1000 mile mark which allows me to use the full range of the engine Tried to max it out but it was very windy with a head/cross wind, struggled to 138 As I say it was windy but expected a bit more Anyone maxed theirs out yet? Sure the gsr 750 2013 I had showed 140+ on the speedo

This is NOT me, as i wouldn't be this dumb in traffic. This guy messaged me on my YT channel and asked if i wanted to ride with him since he is in charlotte as well. He seems a bit wreckless for me. Skip to about 5:45 or so and he would have had a bit more to go if he didn't get out of the throttle. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hyu1G_7EjuM

My bike runs strong all the way to 160 and bounces there on the limiter. Im about to get a pc5 and tune it with a new exhaust and wipe all restrictors. Its sad how little power the bike has with the restictors that come stock.

Also could just be me but I don't really think our 750's were meant for a ton of top end but more low end grunt

I also just hit 1000 and have started getting over 100. Got up to 105 in 4th, then 112 in 5th, but slowed down because I ran out of street.

On my 2015 750 I've seen mid 140's no problem.but I don't have the balls to keep it going after that. Definitely wasn't at redline though

My 2018 struggled to get to an indicated 145mph at about 3000ft altitude, at 9000ft it does really feel underpowered in 6th gear; not that I really care, on a naked bike I don't like going much over 110.

How do our s750's compare to say 600 ss? Are 600's generally faster or..?

SS as in supersport? Our bike might have some advantage off the line due to slightly higher low-end power but a 600 sport bike is going to dust us in most situations. They are typically 30-50lbs lighter and have more horsepower.

I beg to differ sp3ak. I don't know about current year models, but i have a few buddies that have 2004 r6 and 2005 kawi zx6r 636 I can pull on both of them up to about 135 or so then they will catch me and pass me.
In this video at the 2:15 mark i beat the r6 on a roll on, and the 636 has a bit more power but can hang with it without a problem at the 11:00 min mark there is some highway playing. My bike is all stock execpt my slip-on. I think the biggest downfall is our bikes have ZERO aerodynamics for high speed. You will have no problem at all hanging with them in the twisties.
