Installed K&N last night. Video of the install on its way. It was immediately noticeable. Not HP. But smoothness. Even letting off the throttle, engine braking was smoother. Throttle response is smoother. Cruising at steady speed is smoother. Slightly louder intake rush, but very minor. The OEM filter had 4600 miles on it. It was a little dirty, but a lot of light was shining through it so I don't think I'm comparing an old dirty paper filter to a fresh one. Its really just smoother. In a very good way.

I have been thinking about adding one, but just haven't yet for whatever reason. Maybe i will at some point.

I'll swap one in at the interval. Peeked at it while doing the servo and she looked fine.

I'm new to fuel injection and it was always a hassle when working with carbs in relation to high flow filters and exhausts on my previous bikes. Is it a case of just fit it and let the ECU figure out fueling on the S750? If so I like the sound of this.

Yep, the ecm will manage a lot of changes from the slip on you choose and the air filter you run. But it can only adjust within its calibrated specs. As in she'll only get so rich or lean. Any alterations past this point will need to be tuned into the in the ecm.

I don't think a slip on will make things that much different for the 2015/16 models, but maybe for the 17+ models, as the older version has the Suzuki Exhaust Tuning butterfly valve just before the mid pipe to the muffler.
But while we're on the topic of air cleaners and possibly needing fuel management, how far do you think is too far for the stock ECU to adjust within safe limits? Do you think a slip on plus a high flow air filter will be too far? Or do you think the exhaust tuning contraption will counter any open muffler by still restricting flow with the valves?
I would think deleting the tuning valves, adding a slip on and getting a high flow filter would be requiring a Power Commander or other fuel management system. But What do you guys think?

I would agree the air filter by itself would make a very minimum change by itself. I just put on in but also did a slip on and power commander. Something else I did was remove the snorkel from the air box to help with airflow. Not sure the stock ecu can manage that much of a change with air and exhaust so went power commander.

Found your video on youtube. Really good job. Had no idea the tank was hinged. Got the K&N, gonna install this weekend.

I've just read a article in FastBike's Magazine. They did a test on filters.
The stock filter 104.3bhp
MWR filter 107.3bhp
K&N filter 106.5bhp
All these filters where tested on a stock 2017 GSX-S750.
It's round about £46 for the K&N filter and for a MWR filter your talking about £76. Ouch. £20 for the standard.
