Hello forum. I just recently had new tires put on my 2018 750Z at about 4900 miles. The stock ones were Bridgestone Battleax Hypersport S21's and the rear was pretty squared off and at the wear lines. I did a lot of research and read a lot of positive reviews about Shinko Raven 009's being a great all around tire, not to mention at a great price as well.
I dont do any track stuff, just canyons. Anyway I immediately noticed that the new tires felt very strange. I thought maybe I just needed to ride more. Well after riding a bit it started to feel a little more normal, but still weird. I double checked the tire pressure and put both to the factory PSI's. What I am feeling is hard to explain. Its like it turns too easy and doesnt feel as stable. I think I know what it is, but wanted to ask anyway. I think what happened is that I got used to the way it felt with the flat spot on the rear, and now that I have new round tires it just feels different and Im just not used to it. Does this sound right? Its been a very long time since I had tires changed on a bike so I guess I forgot. Thanks for any help and comments.

What you feel is probably the tires being slick since they are new. Probably a harder compound too, not as sticky. Wear them in a couple hundred miles before you get crazy. Mine slid pretty easy at first. Pucker time, lol.

Could it be possible the balance is off as well? Is it only when cornering or do you feel it at a steady/straight speed on a smooth road as well?

You went from squared off tires to new round ones. That's probably why the bike feels easier to turn. The same happened when I went from stock to 2CTs. If you have vibrations that weren't there before, it might be a bad balance.

I have noticed on my 2018 model a similar symptom/feeling. Its normally felt more when riding at relatively slow speeds and in a straight line.
What it feels like is- for a brief micro second the bike seems to slightly pull one way, then immediately the opposite way. As well as annoying,worrying and a bit disconcerting. what is worse is
that I'm not sure what's wrong, and how to fix it. So I checked the wheels and tyres and nothing obvious like a missing balancing weight.Next i checked the tyre pressures, They were way down.This is in the space of a week. The front was only 25 psi and the back,I think was 36 psi. I topped them both up to the handbook recommendation and went for a short ride. Sure enough it felt like the problem was 95%
cured, but since I was now alerted to the problem, I'm not fully sure the problem has been totally cured. I think, at least in my case. the wheels need re balancing. Just think,this is a brand new bike, yes I know the dealer is supposed to precheck the bike, but I can't imagine they would bother with wheel balancing, so that leaves the set up at the factory. Maybe someone was having an Off day?, or wanted to get finished for the day? who knows. Any way,I won't know until i have the time to get it checked out at a professional motorcycle tyre dealer, which are a bit distant from my neck of the woods.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I havent had a chance to get back out again to see if it is just that I need to get used to the new tires. Im pretty sure thats all it is. The dealer I had them done at is one of the best near me with a great reputation as well as me having previous work done by them. Anyway Ill update this when I either figure out something is wrong, or realize I just needed to adjust to new tires. I really think thats it though. Going from tires with a pretty substantial flat spot of the rear to perfectly rounded tires again.

Different tires have different profiles
Kinda difficult to explain but some are just kinda curved wile other are kinda peaked
The peaked tires are made to turn in or fall in to turn quicker
